* With the MoCA WAN operating at D-Low, the maximum supported WAN throughput will be 400 Mbps shared (so potentially as low as simultaneous 200 down and up). Understood limitations (aka incentives for relocating the router): does anyone have a reference to exactly how to configure a goCoax WF-803M adapter to operate only at D-High? I've assumed that it should be as simple as configuring the retail adapters to operate at D-High (and likely with MoCA privacy set), similar to the following diagram.Īssumed (workaround) solution: » i./Frt0qFN.pngĭoes anyone have any documentation from Frontier on this, or a link to an example where this has been addressed successfully? And/or. Putting aside the optimal solution (an actual Ethernet WAN connection), my issue is with how to configure a set of retail MoCA 2.x adapters to coexist on the shared coax with the FCA251 MoCA WAN network. My assumption is that the "WAN" setting corresponds to D-Low (1125-1225 MHz), "LAN" to D-High (1350-1675 MHz) and "Full" allows the adapters to operate over the whole MoCA Extended Band D range (1125-1675 MHz). I've assumed that these toggle settings are a physical means of configuring the FCA251's operating frequency, but have no documentation to confirm this, nor whether any other settings are simultaneously configured (such as MoCA privacy). As one modification, the FCA251 adapter has a 3-position toggle switch in the place where the pass-through port is located on the retail WF-803M, with the toggle options being: "Full," "WAN" and "LAN." In all cases, the FCA251 adapters have had this toggle set to "WAN." Longer: So I've run across a number of setups where Frontier has deployed FCA251 MoCA adapters (seemingly rebranded and slightly modified goCoax WF-803M MoCA 2.5 adapters) to effect a MoCA WAN connection over coax between the ONT's Ethernet WAN port and the Ethernet WAN port of the router. TL DR: Where can I find documentation on the FCA251 adapter, but especially on how to configure retail MoCA adapters for a MoCA LAN that can coexist on the shared coax with the FCA251 MoCA WAN link?
